Decaf - Colombia / Tolima

This offering is an Ethyl Acetate (EA) processed decaf from Tolima, Colombia. EA is naturally derived from fermented sugars. EA solvents attach to salts and acids in the coffee bean and allow for the extraction of caffeine. EA processing is one of the highest-quality non chemical process of decaffeinating coffee.
The Tolima Decaf is also part of the Café Imports Origin Select Decaf program that takes quality control in decaf one step further than most; these beans were green selected from micro-lots with the end goal of bringing the highest quality, naturally processed decaf to market as possible.
This particular lot comes from the ASPROCAFE organization of 60 farmers that focus on brining quality Fair Trade and Organic certified coffees to the market.
We are excited to share this coffee-lovers decaf option with you. It's a very balanced and sweet cup with notes of graham, lemon and molasses. On the cupping table we pulled called notes of oreo and molasses cookies!
