Guatemala / Huehuetenango
Huehuetenango is situated among the most remote and rugged areas of the country with warm winds that blow in from Mexico, allowing for the coffee to be nurtured without frost at the extreme altitudes. Coffee plants located in this highland region of Guatemala are situated at inclines that boggle the mind when you consider the work that must be done to harvest the beans.
In 2002, Carlos Lucas bought 2 hectares of land with money that he saved up while living in the United States for 7 years and started in the coffee business. His hard work and dedication show and we think you’ll enjoy another great coffee out of this region.
We taste hints of raisin and vanilla with subtleties of black walnut and caramel.
TASTING NOTES: RAISIN /// VANILLA /// BLACK WALNUT
