Brazil / Celso & Gertrudes
Celso & Gerturdues are friends of Repetition Coffee. We met through our relationship with FAF and make it a priority to visit them every time we're in Brazil. Their family farm, Sitio Boa Vista, sits atop the Zani Valley Mountain overlooking the city of Caconde. The area contains natural springs, forests, and beautiful sunsets.
Tucked away in the mountains live Gertrudes, her husband Celso, and their son Denner with 20 acres of coffee plants. They don’t use agro-toxic chemicals in the soil and their harvests are done almost entirely by themselves so that they may hand pick only the ripest cherries available. The family prides themselves in winning contests for having some of the highest quality, clean water in the area. Gertrudes also roasts her own coffee.
The hard work and dedication shines through and they’ve won many coffee awards all throughout Brazil. This coffee is a natural processed red bourbon with a creamy, dense body expected from a Brazilian natural, whilst finishing with a creamy chocolate taste.
