Fernanda's family came from Italy to Brazil in 1888. Soon after, they started planting and exporting coffee.
Today Amor Espresso Coffee is cultivated in three production units in Brotas, a state of São Paulo, with 212 hectares of arabica coffee plantation.
Fernanda and her father Alberto Samaia began to broaden the family's love for coffee with a new modern vision. They use sustainable practices, like regenerative agriculture, integrated pest management, and intercropping coffee with trees. Moreover, they leave a lot of natural area on their land to protect and conserve native species.
Apart from environmental sustainability, they act to encourage women in agriculture to take on leadership roles, and to enable women in vulnerable conditions to become baristas.
