Brazil / Serra Do Cigano
The Serra do Cigano Valley and wetmill sits in the mountains of Caconde close to natural springs contributing to the Rio Padro river. Multiple families have owned the land and have been farming there for generations. In 2008, they started collaborating with FAF Coffee on a new production model for their coffee farming. This allowed the farmers to take complete control of the post-harvest process and apply new techniques to improve the quality of coffee.
We've been working with FAF since the inception of Repetition and are always impressed by not only the coffees they send but their commitment to sustainable farming practices as well. Serra do Cigano is now on a FAF Coffee One-Hundred-Year project to bring back clean water and agricultural infrastructure to the region. This coffee is no exception: a sweet, comforting coffee suitable for all brew styles.
