This offering is an Ethyl Acetate (EA) processed decaf from Huila, Colombia. EA is naturally derived from fermented sugars. EA solvents attach to salts and acids in the coffee bean and allow for the extraction of caffeine. EA processing is one of the highest-quality non chemical process of decaffeinating coffee.
The Huila Decaf is also part of the Café Imports Origin Select Decaf program that takes quality control in decaf one step further than most; these beans were green selected from micro-lots with the end goal of bringing the highest quality, naturally processed decaf to market as possible.
We are excited to share this coffee-lovers decaf option with you. It's a very balanced and sweet cup with notes of graham, cherry and caramel.
