El Salvador / Calera
This coffee comes to us from la Calera Farm located in Metápan, Santa Ana, El Salvador. The farm is shaded by 80 hectares of Pine and Oak trees. The El Salvador Calera is a white honey processed coffee of the Bourbon varietal. The white honey process means that some of the mucilage is left on the bean while drying is slowed and highly controlled. This results in a buttery, sweet cup.
This is the second year that we've carried an El Salvador coffee from this farm. We got to meet the Calera farmers this year in Kansas City with Athem Coffee. Imports We look forward to a continued relationship with these producers.
