This coffee comes to us from the Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. The farm is operated by multiple families all born and raised in and around the experience of coffee. It is certified organic and was grown at an altitude of 1,900-2,200 masl. The Shakiso is a Grade 1 washed coffee composed of Ethiopian heirloom beans.
This coffee is easily our favorite single origin espresso that we've had in a while. As an espresso floral notes come through over notes of almond, nutmeg and apricot.
As a filtered coffee we taste apricot, butter and burnt brown sugar with a round body.
