Ethiopia / Shakiso
We are so excited to feature our first Ethiopia coffee with full transparency to farmer. This coffee comes to us from producer Ismel Hassen and his family at the Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm located in the Shakiso district of the Guji zone of Oromia. Ismal and his family have owned the farm since 2012. Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm is USDA Organic certified and the farm financially supports the community by offering transportation services and money for building schools and administration buildings.
The Ethiopia Shakiso is a naturally processed coffee composed of the varieties: 74110 & 74112 grown at 1,900-2,200 MASL. We get a lot of floral aromas with a burst in berry in the cup. This cup has nice notes of wine, rosehips, berries and nuts.
