Ethiopia / Uraga
This "Special Prep" Ethiopia comes to us from various smallholder farmers all delivering to Layo Taraga washing station in the Haro Wachu town of the Uraga District of Guji. Each farmer owns approximately 1/2 hectare of land and keep their varieties separated. This Grade 1 lot is a selection of Bourbon variety beans that have been washed and dried on raised beds. It was grown at an altitude of 1,950 - 2,000 MASL.
This coffee immediately stood out to us for its floral notes and clean cup. As a pour-over we get notes of stone fruit, jasmine and apricot. This is a juicy cup with yummy caramel and citrus undertones. If you appreciate the floral tea-like notes found in washed Ethiopians, this is the coffee for you.
TASTING NOTES: STONEFRUIT /// JASMINE /// LEMON
