Kenya / Bora Pamoja
In Swahili BORA PAMOJA translates to “BETTER TOGETHER”. When Repetition Coffee owner Amy Pope and Wild Way owner Christine Clutton had the idea to launch a collaborative coffee, the choice was obvious; it had to be Kenya! Amy had tasted this unforgettable coffee during a sourcing tour to Kenya in early 2019 and Wild Way owner Christine Clutton had done an internship in community development in Kenya so they have a shared love for the region. Both of our companies have a dedication to showcase outstanding coffee, owned and grown sustainably from farmers that we are committed to bringing the recognition they deserve.
The Kiriga estate is Kenyan owned with 50-70 year old coffee plants grown along the Chania river under the care of Dr. Brian Gakunga in the Murang’a Kiambu region. This washed process coffee is grown at an elevation of 1,550 - 1,700 MASL. It is of the SL-28 and SL-34 variety, both created in Kenya. We crave it for all of the yummy grapefruit, citrus acidity that dances over a sweet and savory complexity and we’re sure your taste buds will love it too.
