Kenya / Gicherori
Embu County sits within view of Mount Kenya, and it's a place where small coffee plots thrive. It's a place that's run through with rivers and waterfalls; clean water is a matter of pride for those who live in Gicherori. Many of the farmers in this area grow macadamia nuts, bananas, and corn as well as coffee.
The lot consists of SL28 and SL34 varieties grown at 1,650 MASL. We purchased this green coffee from our friends at Crop to Cup and each year the selection is top-notch.
In the cup you'll find dark fruity and savory notes with a citrus-like acidity. This coffee offers both big body and big acidity with a lingering aftertaste of dark chocolate. Enjoy!
TASTING NOTES: WILD BLACKBERRY /// MARZIPAN /// CACAO
