Peru / Amazonas
Located in the northern part of Peru, the Amazonas region is known for its rugged mountain terrain, ancient ruins, and dense cloud forests. The producer of this coffee Mr. Montenegro is a founding member of the JUMARP co-op and he was the first in the area to introduce a solar dryer on his farm. In the past, slash-and-burn farming offered a quick infusion of nutrients in the soil but over time has resulted in degraded lands and deforestation. The JUMARP co-op not only produce delicious coffee but work tirelessly to convert their members to organic methods that work to conserve the rainforest with carbon offsets. The quality of this coffee shows and we are so excited for it to make its way into our lineup here at Repetition.
We’re digging the notes of juicy nectarine, sweet butterscotch, and pecans.
TASTING NOTES: NECTARINE /// PECAN /// BUTTERSCOTCH
