This special reserve, single origin coffee, comes to us from husband and wife team Celso & Gertrudes, and their beautiful 30-acre farm Sitio Boa Vista. The name literally means “site with a good view” and we could not agree more. The stunning farm is situated above the Zani Mountain Valley and overlooks the town of Caconde.
Celso & Gertrudes lovingly handle absolutely every step of the coffee making process, from planting the seeds to harvesting to roasting and tasting. This powerhouse couple is intimately familiar with their land and every aspect of coffee production, so that they are able to make adjustments to their soil and water that impact the flavor profile of their coffee.
The farm is also part of the FAF network which promotes ecological farming practices in Brazil. Each year, FAF hosts a water contest to see which farmers have the cleanest water free from toxins and agrochemicals. Celso & Gertrudes are consistent winners, boasting the cleanest water in the region.
