This natural Ethiopian heirloom coffee comes to us from the Duwancho washing station in the Sidama region and is grown at 1900-2150 MASL. The region is known for its fertile highlands and is surrounded by beautiful rivers and lakes, offering cool weather and fertile soil perfect for coffee production.
The growers try to keep the thickness of the cherries as thin as possible to ensure consistency and use a special prep method in which the cherries are soaked for two hours to increase sweetness, and then dried slowly for up to 30 days.
The cherries come from a very limited number of small holder farmers and are processed and stored separately from other lots, ensuring a premium coffee experience.
