Julio Peralta’s anaerobic fermentation, Finca El Bosque, was so good we brought it back on!
Not only is it a very complex and rich cup, Finca El Bosque is a Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee farm producing exclusively shade grown coffee! The wet mill at El Bosque is eco-friendly and runs on renewable energy, and the entire farm runs off of a hydroelectric generator that benefits from the ample sources of water in the forest area.
The farm is situated in the north-east of San Fernando in Nueva Segovia at an altitude reaching 1560 MASL. This is a Yellow Catuai variety, anaerobic processed coffee produced by Juio Peralta and imported by our friends at Anthem.
*Importer's special notes on the coffee indicate that on a clear day from the highest plot called ‘Las Nubes’ or ‘The Clouds’, “you can look into the valley and see everything from Honduras to the north, to the tobacco farms to the south, stretching as far as Ciudad Antigua”.
This coffee has a beautifully rich and syrupy body with notes from banana and blueberry to nougat. Enjoy!
