If you've been a fan of Repetition for awhile, you may remember our delectable Mount Kerinci Sumatra Honey Process coffee! A local favorite, we carried it for five years and even placed with it at the Golden Bean competition! It was also a feature at the Specialty Coffee Association's Expo nearly 8 years ago.
A couple years back, an elite Japanese supplier secured the entire lot, so no other coffee importers were able to secure it.
But this year, we got exceptionally lucky and were able to secure a limited edition of 3 bags!
This Sumatran coffee comes from the Kerinci Valley surrounded by the looming Mount Kerinci neighboring the highlands and forests of Kerinci Seblat National Park. Populated by miles of rainforest, volcanoes, mountains, wetlands, and rivers, this area is spectacular for coffee growing.
Mt. Kerinci is also home to some of the last Sumatran tigers, a critically endangered species. In honor of the tiger, we’ve always run the bag with a fun tiger print in order to spread awareness.
