This natural coffee from Ethiopia is—dare we say—the “bombe”. Cultivated in the fertile highlands of the Sidama region, the 2000 MASL elevation, cool weather and fertile soil, combined with over 100 inches of rainfall per year, allow coffees here to ripen slowly, resulting in perfect conditions for flavor.
The region is home to Testi Ayla Washing Station which serves about 375 small farmers who deliver their cherries to be washed and combined with other heirloom Ethiopian varieties in the village of Bombe. The result is a mild and slightly sweet cup with hints of cocoa, amaretto and jasmine.
