Amy Pope

Owner, Green Buyer

After traveling and living abroad for 10 years, REPETITION COFFEE'S founder Amy’s Midwest roots lured her back to Kansas; starting a coffee business was the sum of all her experiences, allowing her to continue traveling globally while working to create social change.

Throw her in a big city or a deep jungle any day of the week, she’s up for the challenge. With a master’s degree in international relations with a focus on trade, her passion for coffee and the opportunity to work towards a transparent supply chain helped make the decision to start REPETITION COFFEE. She works closely with the producers and farmers at source, forming genuine friendships with her thoughtful demeanor. The cupping table is her Zen zone, and if she isn’t roasting or sampling new coffees you may find her solving a puzzle with her three amazing cats by her side.

She’s a true non-conformist, you’ll never see her up before 9am by choice, and it’s a fact that she drinks coffee in the shower! In 2018 she received a bronze medal for single-origin pour-over coffee in the North American Golden Bean Competition and again in 2023. In 2019 she was a Diedrich Roasters Scholarship recipient for the Coffee Roasters Guild.

REBECCA DREYFUS

Head Roster / Mechanical Technician

Rebecca is a fantastic addition to our coffee team; she brings a broad knowledge of coffee with her as she has worked in roast facilities, coffee shops, and as a coffee technician.

Rebecca assists our operations team with weekly packaging and is our in-house tech! But this is just a mere slice of what she does. She’s also an amazing motorcyclist, loving cat parent, and a business owner. She's an instructor at Alloy Metalsmithing, and jeweler for BKY Studio.

NADIA SANBURN

Production Team & Farmers' Market

Nadia works on our production team, helping each week to get your orders out the door!

When they’re not in the shop, you can find Nadia finishing up their English degree at KU, throwing clay at Muddy Waters Studio, reading fantasy, and taking long nature walks with their sweet pups Tofu and Noba. They’re looking forward to honing their ceramic techniques and experimenting with unique firing methods this year.

Nadia is such a self-starter and we’re lucky to have them along for the ride here at Rep! You can expect to see them at the Lawrence Farmers’ Market this summer!.

ELLEN MILLER

Production Team & Farmers' Market

Ellen works with our production tean and will also be joining our Lawrence Farmers' Market team! Aside from learning all there is to know about coffee, Ellen is working on an English degree at KU and helps run a queer magazine called KUnity. She's a collector of vintage postcards, kombucha brewer extraordinaire, and runs their own pet sitting service! Not to mention be aspirations of being published someday.

To say we're excited for Ellen and to have them part of the team is an understatement.

KANSEY KEOGH

Production Team & Farmers' Market

Without skipping a beat, Kansey stepped into numerous production roles from bagging and delivering, to one of our friendly faces at the Lawrence Farmers' Market.

Kansey is a big reader, loves spending her weekends birding (especially at the Baker Wetlands!), and is excited to make many trips to the lake this summer. Post high school, Kansey is excited to start taking classes at JCCC to explore and see what she wants to pursue.

CARLYN HARTSOCK

Farmers' Market & Events Crew

We’re lucky to have this talented, creative on our team! Carlyn works on our Farmers’ Market team most Saturdays, serving up yummy beverages to our local community.

When Carlyn’s not working at Repetition, she’s playing with her indie-rock band, Izzy Hedges Band, or working her other job, as a marketing guru!
