GREEN INITIATIVES
At Repetition, we are constantly striving to improve upon the sustainability of our operations. Here are a few of our initiatives, and we will continue to add more!
RECYCLABLE COFFEE BAGS
Our coffee bags are now recyclable! All you need to do is remove the tin tie located towards the top and toss your bag into your recycling bin.
SOLAR POWERED ROASTING
A majority of our electricity is provided by the solar panels installed all along the front of our building, offsetting 1,800 lbs of CO2 per hour.
TINTED WINDOWS
The windows of our roasting space are tinted with film that reflects light and reduces heat in the warehouse by 80% so that we aren't dependent on air conditioning.
JUTE RECYCLING
Our Jute coffee bags are recycled and repurposed through distribution to local farmers and gardeners for use as weed barriers and compost. We also reuse all of the Grainpro bags inside the jute bags rather than throwing them out.
COMPOSTING
All of our coffee grounds and chaff go to local gardens for compost or to the Lawrence Worm Farm, whose mission is to transform food-waste into a usable, valuable, natural soil amendment via the power of worms!
REDUCED PLASTIC CONSUMPTION
We are moving away from using plastic and recently added a third tap to our coffee bicycle so we can serve our iced lattes directly into a compostable cup rather than plastic bottles.
