Our relationship with Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza or Environmental Fortress Farm (FAF) in Brazil dates back to our first days in roasting over 11 years ago (we were exploring FAF before we ever roasted our first bean!). TheFAF organization is well-known for championing sustainability in Brazil.
Ivan and Rose dos Santos (along with Ivan's siblings) began a partnership with FAF in 2008 to change to sustainable, quality driven coffee farming. Fast forward to now, and a whole region has been transformed with neighbors collaborating and following the best possible farming practices.
Ivan and Rose dos Santos manage the Alto Alegre farm in the Sao Paulo/Mogiana region of Brazil, producing high-altitude specialty coffee known for its complex, natural-processed flavors.
This lot we're featuring is velvety smooth and we're excited to share it with you!
