Coming to us from the mountainous region of Quindo, Colombia, this decaf produces a quality cup without the extra caffeine. Coffee cherries are made sweeter by the cool mountain air, allowing for a more complex flavor indicative of the region. The coffee is grown at altitudes of 1,300 to 1,600 meters above sea level, which contributes to the bright citrus notes in your cup.
This coffee is washed and naturally decaffeinated using the Ethyl Acetate “Sugarcane” process, a method that preserves flavor while removing the caffeine particles from the beans. This results in a coffee that still scratches the itch for those who are caffeine sensitive or want to enjoy a cup later in the day.
